WHAT IS A RAFFLE AUCTION?
It’s a hybrid of a raffle and an auction. In a “standard” raffle with multiple prizes, winners are drawn from one “hat.” But in a raffle auction, each prize has its own “hat”. This allows you to choose which prize(s) to focus on, instead of having a first, second, third, etc. prize.
In a raffle auction, “bidders” (you) buy tickets: each is one chance to win one item. Buy as many tickets as you like, then place one or more tickets in the “hat” beside the item(s) you want to win. One winning ticket is drawn from each prize’s “hat.”
All funds from raffle ticket sales are split between Kitten Academy and DAWS.
HERE’S WHAT TO DO
- Watch the RAFFLE page for previews of raffle items.
- Buy tickets, either in advance or at KA-Con.
- At KA-Con, drop as many tickets as you wish into the container(s) corresponding to your desired prize(s). Be sure to keep the “stub” half of your ticket.
- Check the event schedule for raffle drawing times, and listen for you name or ticket number.
- If you’re a lucky winner, take your prize home!
